FORD PRIMARY SCHOOL SEND INFORMATION

Mrs Harris - SENDCO

At Ford Primary School we will support your child to achieve the best they can.

At times, children may need extra help with their learning and development and this page will show you the range of support that is available here at Ford.

As always, we will work with parents, carers and other agencies, as necessary, to ensure your child has access to the educational provision required to meet their needs.

The local authoriuty carry our regular audits of SEND provision in Plymouth Schools. Our last audit was completed in October 2021 (see link below).

In response to the audit the Local Authority commented:

'I can see that you work really hard to support pupils with SEND in a holistic way. Your Assess Plan Do and Review systems are really robust, for example at transition. The support in place for pupils with Social Emotional & Mental Health needs is fantastic such as the joined up work between teams ( ELSAs) and the Mental Health in schools teams programme pilot that has proved effective. Staff have a range of expertise and are given opportunities to improve their knowledge of SEN.'

We very much hope that you will be happy with the provision for children with SEND at Ford Primary School. However, if you are not happy with the provision in place for your child, there are several ways to resolve this:

  • Talk to the class teacher
